Toki Sarophon. Day 5.

 Day 4

Toki Sarophon.

Hello everybody🙋🙋.

Today is december 2nd. It's the fourth day of our

practice class. We gathered at Lyabi Khauz

Complex at 10:00.  Unfortunately, the weather

was  very cold, and our hands were about to

freeze.

When we all gathered, we went together to Toki

Sarophon. Our destination today is Toki Sarophon.

After reaching the destination, at 13:30 our

teacher Sabina Sharipovna arrived and we

started our journey today.

Feruza and Marjona gave us some information about

Toki Sarophon. Today's trip was very interesting for

us. Because we had never seen these places before.

Toki Sarophon (Persian - money changers' tower)

is an architectural monument in Bukhara (16th

century), the main trading center for money

exchange. At the intersection of 2 streets of

Shahristan, st. Shops of sarros were built on the

Shahrud stream. Toki Sarophon is the smallest

dome. the building is 8-sided (size 25x24 m), the

inner diameter of the dome is 12 m, the outer

dome (bal. 16.55 m) is placed on 4 peaks, it covers

the intersection in the south of the city. In the

second half of the 16th century, a mosque was

placed in one of the 4 corners of the hall, a

Sarrophon bath in the other, and a Sarophon in

the other 2 shops are located next to each

other. As a result of research, it is shown that

people lived in the area of this market during the

9th century Somonites. There is information that

there was a fire here in the 13th century and that

the fire was related to the activities of Genghis

Khan. at the entrance to the mosque there is an

inscription "This construction was completed in

1534-35 during the reign of Ubaidulla Bahadir

Khan". This may also apply to surrounding

buildings. During the Shaibani period, Bukhara

became a center of private business, lending and

money exchange. In Bukhara, there were houses,

 a trading dome, a caravanserai, a mosque, a

bathhouse, and others related to the name of

money changers.

Toki Sarophon Market or Money Exchange Dome

Market is a bazaar building located in the historical

center of Bukhara, and it is one of the landmarks

that UNESCO has placed on the World Heritage List.

On the Silk Road. Currently, the bazaar offers carpets,

scarves and souvenirs, and millions of visitors visit it

every year, so do not miss the opportunity to visit it!

Toqi Sarophon means ,, Toq '' - " Ark " and

 ,, Sarophon,,  means ,, money exchange ".

Our practice lesson today was great. We got a lot

of information from him. At the end, our teacher

checked our diaries and asked a few questions

about Toki Sarophon. That's the end of our

practice today. Today left a good impression on us
