Day 15. Tim of Abdulla Khan

Day 15.

Tim of Abdulla Khan

Hello to everyone 🙋😀✨❤

Today we are seeing you for the last time, that is, our three-week internship has come to an end. For three weeks, we went to the designated places, got acquainted with the history of the place, talked with tourists. Our teacher Inobat Zoirovna regularly checked our blogs and diaries in every lesson. And today our internship is coming to an end....... And our last destination is Tim of  Abdullah Khan.

Tim of Abdullah Khan is the largest open-air market in Bukhara. It was built during the reign of Abdullah Khan. (1577). The base of Abdulla Khan temple is square (39X42 m), closed on 3 sides, and is entered with a pediment in the form of a head. There are arched shelves on both sides of the walls. A high domed rampart surrounds the Tim. The middle mionsarai (diameter - 10 m) is covered with a high dome. Light shines through arched openings under the dome. Corridor around Mionsaray. There were shops with dome roofs in the small corridors. The building is made of adobe (22x27x3.5 cm), the walls are plastered, almost no ornaments have been preserved. In the past, there was trade in silk and wool gauze here. Abdullah Khan Timi is considered to be the largest of the shopping stalls and buildings in Bukhara, and it is very complex and beautiful in terms of its shape and appearance. It has been renovated several times, there are shops. The city is famous not only for its architectural masterpieces, but also for its artisans, markets and shops. One such bazaar is Abdullah Khan Timi, built in the 16th century in the historical center of Bukhara.

The difference between the trading dome and other markets is that it is completely closed and has a gate on the west side.  The bazaar is built in the Persian style, so it resembles the traditional bazaars of ancient Iranian cities. It is cool in any weather, and it is very attractive that the sunlight enters the shops only through the openings of the dome.

Abdullah Khan Timi, which is considered a closed trading post, was founded by Abdullah Khan II.Abdullah Khan, who sponsored its construction (full name: Abdulla ibn Iskandar Khan ibn Jonibek sultan ibn Khoja Muhammad ibn Abdulkhairkhan, 1534, Miyanqal, Ofarinkent village - 1598, buried in Bahauddin complex near Samarkand, Bukhara) - Uzbek state Bukhara in the systemthe greatest ruler of the Khanate from the Shayban dynasty (1583-1598), statesman, general, science, enlightenment, culture
sponsor. His grandfather Jonibek Sultan was the governor of Karmana and Miyanqal. At the time of his son's birth, his father Iskandar Sultan ruled Ofarinkent and later Karmana. Abdullakhan II Shaibanikhan fought hard since his youth to reunify the territory of the country, which was divided after his death, and to strengthen the central state power. During the reign of Abdulla Khan II, science, art, urban planning, literature and similar fields flourished in Bukhara. if we talk about the historical conditions of the period when the architectural monument was built, the entire reign of Abdullah Khan was spent in constant wars. He conquered Balkh in 1574, Samarkand in 1578, Tashkent and Fergana in 1583, Badakhshan in 1584, Khorezm in 1595 and became his own stateadded to the composition.During the reign of Abdullah Khan, the borders of the state reached from Herat to Mahshad in the south, to the Aral Sea in the north, and from the Caspian Sea to Issyk-Kul. After the establishment of a centralized state, science and culture developed in the country. Abdullah Khan Timi, like other Timi and Toqar, was created based on the goals of regulating and regulating trade in the country. Its construction dates back to 1577, during the late Middle Ages. in the construction of the architectural structure, raw and ready-made bricks, wood, clay, cement, stones of various sizes were widely used. if we talk about the general appearance of the architectural monument, the base of the structure is murabba (quadruple) layout (39x42 m), closed on 3 sides, it is entered through a gable. There are arched shelves on both sides of the walls. A high-domed porch surrounds the tim.
