Fayzulla Khojayev House-museum.

 Day 7.

Fayzulla Khojayev House-museum.

Hello to everyone🙋😀😍

I want to talk about today's practice. Our destination today is the Fayzulla Khojayev House Museum.

The weather was very good. We really liked this museum. Many tourists are visiting. We got some information about this museum. For example, The name "Fayzulla Khojayev House-Museum" was returned to the house where the great politician and statesman Fayzulla Khojayev lived. Before that, it was called "House-Museum of the House of the Rich Merchant".
According to the cultural heritage agency, in accordance with the relevant decision of the government on September 28 of this year, the complex was renamed "Fayzulla Khojayev House-Museum".

This courtyard was built in the oriental style by Fayzulla Khojayev's father, Ubaydullahhoja, at the end of the 19th century. when the owner of the house is repressed, the yard becomes neglected. It serves as a shelter for various organizations. Various buildings are built around it.

"It was very fortunate that the name of Faizulla Khojayev was returned to our place. another news is that in 2023 the museum will be restored and conserved. Also, re-exposure works are carried out. At the moment, there are 521 exhibits here," says Feruz Bahromov, head of the house-museum.

For information, Faizulla Khojayev (1896-1938) ruled the Republic of Bukhara People's Councils for four years and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 12 years. He was imprisoned as an "enemy of the people" and executed along with many intellectuals such as Fitrat, Cholpon, Abdulla Qadiri.

The interior of the museum is amazing. Depending on the seasons, summer and winter rooms are built separately.

The house-museum of Faizulla Khojayev in Bukhara is a bright example of 19th century architecture and is open to tourists. You can visit every day from 09:00 to 17:00. This historical complex, which is very popular among tourists, allows you to get acquainted with the history and culture of Bukhara at the end of the 19th century, the life of merchants of that time, home furnishings and rare examples of art.

the building is located in the center of Bukhara, at 70, Abdulla Tokai street. The house-museum first belonged to the famous merchant Ubaydulla Khoja Kasim Khojayev, and then it passed to his son Fayzulla Khojayev. The area is 3 hectares.
The house is divided into two parts according to the Uzbek architectural traditions of the last century, an outer courtyard for men and various receptions, and an inner courtyard for mahrams and women.
it also consists of utility rooms, a central "guest house" living room, several small living rooms, and hallways. The rooms are decorated with carvings, antiques, exclusive furniture and unique decorations. in the rooms you will find expensive dishes, household items, clothes, porcelain and other luxurious exhibits of that time.
Ubaydullo Khojayev invests a lot in the education and comprehensive education of his followers. he brings the best teachers of that time for his children, sends his sons to study in Russia.
Fayzulla Khojayev decided not to follow in the footsteps of his merchant-entrepreneur father, but to engage in the activities of the state, achieving considerable success in this field and becoming a real Uzbek politician.
In 1916-1920, he became a member of the "Young Bukhara" party and quickly assumed the leadership role. His partner and after some time his close friend was the historian and poet Abdurauf Fitrat. Faizulla Khojayev puts forward the ideas of Jadidism.
In 1937, he was arrested by the NKVD, and in 1938 he was sentenced to death.
Later, his brother Aziz Ghalib was also persecuted. In 1965, the name of the Khojayev family was fully restored, and they were officially recognized as victims of repression.

As you can see from the pictures above, our practice today is full of amazing places.😀😀😀
